Feng Shui No-Nos When Building Your Home

In China, no one begins construction until a Feng Shui Master reviews the plans and the location according to Feng Shui Principles and gives the approval. If you are planning a new home build, don’t undermine good chi and harmony by making these 7 all-too-common Feng Shui mistakes:

  1. The front door direction is deeply meaningful in Feng Shui. An inauspicious orientation relative to the occupants’ kua number (Personal Feng Shui directions) invites bad fortune, especially for the highest breadwinner.
  2. The directions the master bed faces matter immensely for the marriage, health, and prosperity of occupants. When Master bedrooms are poorly aligned to residents’ kua number, they risk trouble and illness.
  3. Going overboard on bathrooms can flush away prosperity luck from overwater element representation. Keep bathrooms functional, not abundant.
  4. Stoves belong commandingly facing the kitchen entryway/door, supporting the fire element. When a cooker faces away, it “burns the back” of wealth luck.
  5. Missing corners force chi energy to leak away outside instead of accumulating inside. Structural voids create financial and relationship struggles.
  6. Slanted roofs encourage health struggles, debt cycles, money leaks, and relationship troubles leading to divorce. Opt for uniform roof planes.
  7. Check for negative earth energy lines under key home structures. Bedrooms, offices, and living spaces shouldn’t occupy geopathic-stressed landlines. These lines impact sleep, concentration, moods, and health.
