Your Entranceway Can Support You

In Feng Shui, the front door is the entry point that “welcomes in” energy and opportunities into your life.  When that entryway becomes crowded with clutter like shoes, coats, bags, and other items, it’s seen as blocking the flow and circulation of fresh energy.

It’s like clogging your home’s energy arteries!  This results in feeling stuck, sluggish, and disconnected from positive energy streams.

Feng Shui means Wind – Water. Imagine the energy as the wind flowing over water. It’s free and unobstructed. This energy translates into well-being, harmony, and flow. If your entry way is cluttered, you are asking the energy to become discombobulated, lethargic and slow.

The Cure

The simple Feng Shui cure is to keep that entry area clear.

  1. Make it a habit to put away shoes, hang coats, and tidy away other clutter after use.  This opens your front door area to act as a clean sluice or channel, bringing in nourishing, supportive energy.  Removing that blocked conduit delivers improvements to multiple aspects of life – career forward motion, social connections, and prosperity.
  2. Use baskets to collect the shoes. A small bench can be the storage space for backpacks, purses and more. If you don’t have a coat closet, designate a space to place them, not at the front door.

Just a few daily minutes focused on a clear entry space allows wonderful energy to circulate freely into your life!
